Pet Vaccination

In general, a puppy should start vaccines as soon as you get the puppy (this is usually between 6 and 8 weeks) and then every three weeks until approximately four months of age when it will receive the final round. Generally, if the puppy's mother has a healthy immune system, it will most likely receive antibodies in the mother's milk while nursing. After a puppy has been weaned off of the mother's milk, vaccinations should begin.

Pet Deworming

Deworming is an important preventative care regime for reducing parasites (internal and external) and improving your pet’s health. It is also important to help to prevent transmission of parasites to you and your human family members. It is recommended that your puppy or kitten is dewormed every 2 weeks until they reach 3 months of age.

Routine annual physical examination

Annual exams are recommended for your companion pet as a tool to help maintain the best quality of life and to be more preventative than reactionary to disease processes. This involves a complete head to toe evaluation of your pet. Ears are assessed for indication of infection or bad odour that could signify disease in the ear canal. Eyes are assessed for signs of inflammation, cataract, infection, or visual deficits. Even the nose is evaluated to make sure there is no nasal discharge or concerning nasal congestion-type sounds. Weight is also an important health parameter that we evaluate during the physical exam.

Pet Dental Care

As a pet parent, you certainly want your dog to have a healthy mouth. When the structures supporting a dog’s teeth become damaged or infected, the teeth loosen and fall out. Good dog dental care will ensure that those teeth-supporting structures stay healthy and keep the teeth in place.

Veterinary Surgery

Veterinary surgery is a type of surgery which is performed on animals by veterinarians whereas this process takes three categories to complete. These categories are orthopaedics (bones, joints, and muscles), soft tissue surgery (skin, body cavities, cardiovascular system, respiratory tracts) and neurosurgery.

Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses imaging technology to diagnose and treat disease. Radiology may be divided into two different areas, diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology. Doctors who specialize in radiology are called radiologists.

There is also a myriad of holistic treatments, herbs, and supplements available for people give to their pets.
